What is Field Archery?

Field archery involves shooting at targets of varying distance, typically in woodland and rough terrain. As well as being a sport in its own right, it can be used to improve the techniques and abilities required for bowhunting in a realistic outdoor setting. Archers sometimes refer to the additional skills required to deal with the challenging terrain and lighting as “fieldcraft”.

Whatever your age you can become a Field Archer. Field Archery is a sport that can be enjoyed by all as it’s both competitive and socially rewarding. Part of the pleasure of Field Archery is all the interesting people you meet as a result of shooting in mixed groups. Novice or experienced, amateur or professional you’ll be made to feel welcome at our club.
